2. The driver tool — what we collect
The CDLRisk driver sleep health tool runs entirely in your browser. When you enter your weight, height, neck circumference, medical history, or any other health information into the tool:
- That data is processed locally in your browser only
- It is never transmitted to CDLRisk servers
- It is never stored in any database
- It is never shared with any third party
- It is held in browser memory only and is not written to localStorage or any persistent storage — it is gone when you close or refresh the page
3. Usage rating
After completing the driver tool, you may optionally tap a thumbs up or thumbs down to rate whether the tool was useful. If you choose to rate:
- We collect only your vote (up or down) and a timestamp
- No health data, no personal information, and no identifying information is collected
- Rating is entirely optional — the tool works fully without rating
- You can only rate once per session
- Ratings are processed through Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form service, solely to record the vote. Formspree receives the vote and timestamp only — no health data is included.
This data is used only to understand whether the tool is useful to drivers. It is never sold. It is transmitted to Formspree as our processing service — it is not shared with any other third party.
4. Contact forms and fleet demo requests
If you submit a contact form or fleet demo request on cdlrisk.com, we collect your name, email address, company name, fleet size, and message. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry. It is processed through Formspree (formspree.io) and forwarded to [email protected]. We do not sell or share this information with any third party beyond Formspree as our processing service. You may request deletion of your contact information at any time by emailing [email protected].
5. Website analytics
CDLRisk uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views. Cloudflare's analytics are cookieless and privacy-focused — no personal data is collected, no individual user is tracked across sessions, and no advertising profile is built. We see only aggregate traffic counts.
6. Cookies
CDLRisk does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies. The only cookies that may be set are essential technical cookies required by Cloudflare for security and performance. The rating widget uses sessionStorage — a temporary browser feature that is cleared when you close the tab — solely to prevent double-voting within a session.
7. Fleet operators
If you are a fleet operator deploying CDLRisk for your drivers, you are responsible for ensuring your drivers are informed about how the tool works, including that their individual health data stays in their browser only and is not accessible to you or to CDLRisk. CDLRisk is not a HIPAA Business Associate and does not process protected health information on behalf of any fleet operator.
8. Children
CDLRisk is intended for commercial drivers and fleet operators, all of whom must be 18 or older to hold a commercial driver's license. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Data security
Because individual health data never leaves your browser, there is no CDLRisk database of personal health information that could be breached. All data transmitted through contact forms and ratings is encrypted via HTTPS. Formspree operates under its own privacy policy and security practices available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
10. Your rights
Because we do not store your personal health information, there is no individual health data to access, correct, or delete. For any information submitted through contact forms, you may request deletion by emailing [email protected].
